  1. Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate

What’s better than a sweet treat with a kick of fall spices? A chocolatey spin on the classic pumpkin spice latte, this hot drink is sure to get you in the Halloween spirit. 

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pumpkin puree
  • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ cup whipped cream
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

Instructions:

Whisk milk, cream, chocolate chips, and cocoa powder together in a saucepan over medium heat, until chocolate chips are melted (about 3 to 5 minutes). Stir in pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice until smooth. Pour into a mug, top with whipped cream, and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Fall is full of outdoor activities—from apple picking, to corn mazes, to pumpkin patches, and more. Sipping on a warm beverage is the perfect way to end a long day in the cool autumn air. Plus, this hot cider recipe will fill your home with fragrant, earthy spices. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tbsp ground nutmeg
  • 3 lemon sleeves
  • 3 orange slices
  • 4 apple slices
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 5 star anise pieces

Instructions:

In a 5 quart crock pot on low heat, add all ingredients. Warm for about 3-4 hours. Ladle into a mug, and top with whipped cream and caramel if desired.

Ingredients:

  • 14 cups of water
  • 1 ½ cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 juiced oranges
  • 2 juiced lemons
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions:

Using a large pot, combine water and cranberries. Bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add sugar, lemon juice, orange juice, cloves, and cinnamon sticks. Cover and steep for one hour.
